He was born December 18, 1899 in Lick Fork, Dickenson Co., Virginia, and died November 25, 1958 in Honey Camp, Dickenson Co., Virginia.

Joseph Grady⁴ Stanley (Robert B.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born June 15, 1908, and died January 20, 1987. He married Cora E. Mullins.

Cora V.⁴ Stanley (Larkin L.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born October 1892. She married (1) William Riley Rose, son of Reubin Rose and Florida Mullins. She married (2) Clark Carty August 22, 1922 in Dickenson Co., Virginia, son of John Carty and Mary Patrick. He was born May 1876 in Russell Co., Virginia, and died August 12, 1948 in Clintwood, Dickenson Co., Virginia.

	i.	Herely⁵ Rose, born about 1912; died about 1913.
	ii.	Garland Rose, born 1914. He married Ada Stanley.
	iii.	Namoni Rose, born May 5, 1916; died June 18, 1991 in California. She married Carlos Powers.
	iv.	Maggie Rose, born about 1918; died August 12, 1952. She married Jim Parsons.

Children of Cora Stanley and Clark Carty are:

	i.	Uliss Arnold⁵ Carty, born about 1923; died 1923.
	ii.	Lonzie Carty, born June 29, 1924 in Nasbie, Virginia; died November 5, 1957. He married Laura Ball.
	iii.	Joseph Larkin Carty, born 1926 in Omaha, Dickenson Co., Virginia. He married Hannah Deloris Mullins October 15, 1948 in Clintwood, Dickenson Co., Virginia.
	iv.	Odell Carty, born 1929 in Darwin, Dickenson Co., Virginia. He married Margaret Large September 30, 1950 in Clintwood, Dickenson Co., Virginia.

Joseph H.⁴ Stanley (Larkin L.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born March 1891, and died January 31, 1937. He married Bessie Payne, daughter of William Payne and Tilda Golden.

Mary Jane⁴ Stanley (Larkin L.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born December 19, 1894 in Dickenson Co., Virginia. She married Butler Ratliff Stanley May 17, 1910, son of Alfred Stanley and Winney Stanley. He was born about 1881 in Virginia, and died May 1959.

Thetty Jane⁴ Stanley (Granville N.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born February 19, 1912, and died May 9, 1994. She married Samuel Henon Rose. He was born November 4, 1906, and died November 1977.

Bruce⁴ Stanley (Granville N.³, Joseph B.², Alfred¹, Joseph^A) was born February 3, 1914, and died March 28, 1980 in Coeburn, Virginia. He married Gertrude Hale. She was born December 25, 1916, and died December 22, 1976.
